Typically, stores hold major sales during the
first two weeks of January. Some of the discounts can be quite significant, but
arrive early for the best selection. Because these major sales happen only
twice a year (the other one in July), things are snatched up quickly.
SUNDAY SHOPPING: On Sunday, 6 January, stores and
shopping centers will be open from 14:00-18:00 in a number of Luxembourg towns,
including Luxembourg City, Esch-sur-Alzette, Ettelbruck and Grevenmacher.
